Cold Case Cowboys, Case 2

The second case assigned to the Cold Case Cowboys was the 1988 disappearance of Barbara Joy Gallagher, (Barbi). Barbi went missing in October of 1988 and subsequently missed events and family contacts that she had never missed before. Although her remains have not yet been found, the case was closed as solved in accordance with the U.S. Justice Departments' uniform crime reporting guidelines. Our investigation provided the District Attorney's Office with the probable cause to believe that Robert Barr, Barbi's boyfriend at the time of her disappearance, was responsible for her death.  However, Barr committed suicide in Lake Tahoe, CA in April, 2001 after murdering his wife at that time.  If Barr was still alive he could be arrested and charged with the murder of Barbara Gallagher.
